CRAFT LONDON

Peninsula Square, Greenwich Peninsula, London SE10 0SQ

Main independant cafe on Greenwich Peninsula (North Greenwich) and close to the tube. Doesn’t have the most comfortable seating but has a fair few plug sockets. Has decent coffee/WiFi, good background music and nice breakfast food too (eggs benedict etc).

HANK AND GINGER

The Printrooms, 164-180 Union St, London, England SE1 0LH, United Kingdom

Pretty spacious if you can get a spot, can get busy at times. Has good coffee/service and a healthy selection of food, especially around lunchtime. Music selection is a bit repetitive but Wifi is fairly good for the basics.

IKEA

55-57 Bugsby’s Way, Greenwich Peninsula, London SE10 0QJ

Massive Ikea restaurant that seems to have been designed around people who also want to work from a cafe. It has plug sockets and a range of different seating options. Plenty of food from the cafeteria and coffee/tea is cheap (but coffee isn’t great). WiFi is super quick here too.

CITIZENM HOTEL TOWER HILL

40 Trinity Square, St Katharine’s & Wapping, London EC3N 4DJ

You can work in the lobby of the hotel, they have good chairs and massive tables to work on. While they aren’t keen for you to set up your office here and visit daily, if you ever need a space to work that’s chilled and has good WiFi, this is the place I always go to! The food is a little expensive (Red Velvet cake always great!), but since this is a hotel that you can just walk into (there are no reception desks), it’s also pretty easy to bring your own!

COFFEE ISLAND

5 UPPER ST MARTINS, London

Amazing atmosphere in a central spot in London. Not many know this place, that makes it a hidden gem where work or chill. Coffee Island is a chain originally from Patra, Greece. They are focused on Eco-Sustainability Sources. The best of this shop is that if you are addicted to the coffee like me, you will love the wide choice they have. You can mix the coffee beans as you will taste it, make your own flavour and even take for home. The shop in London has an upper deck, that makes the area isolated from the main coffee area.

CAFÉ OSCARS

48 Ladywell Rd, Lewisham, London SE13 7UZ

Cafe Oscar recently reopened under new management. It doesn’t have WiFi yet but you will still find plenty of people there working on their laptop. They serve Volcano Coffee (roasted in Brixton) and the menu will suit all diet and is very gluten free and vegan friendly. The place is bright and modern and the back garden a great place to catch a bit of sun!

THE BARBICAN

Silk St, Barbican, London EC2Y 8DS

A huge, quiet space with many different seating areas and low-lighting to focus on your tasks in hand. They have a Costa store on-site. Very relaxing area but with a slight bankground noise so you’re not working in complete silence. Unlike other coffee shops you don’t hear clattering cups or noisy grinding machines.

ATTENDANT SHOREDITCH

74 Great Eastern Street, Hackney, London EC2A 3JL
Attendant is a bright little cafe with high ceilings and plants all over the walls. They serve a great range of brunch and light lunch options and lots of coffees. The space feels a bit cramped at the tables but there’s a lovely nook with four stools set against the window, and four plugs right underneath, so it’s a great spot to work from!

LEYAS

20 Camden High St, Kings Cross, London NW1 0JH

Great, chilled space for working during the day in Camden. The coffee is amazing and has decent prices, but whilst the food is very tasty, it is a little pricey for what you get. There is a large downstairs area with lots of big tables so it would be good for big group meetings, however, as you are unable to reserve tables in advance it would be best to go quite early.
